The Quarter at the Tropicana – The Quarter has it all! The excitement of a Havana atmosphere… high end shopping… the finest dining… and hot nightclubs. Don’t miss the Missile Bar, one of the hottest nightclubs in town. And if you love karaoke, you’ll find yourself at Atlantic City’s one and only karaoke bar, Planet Rose. The Quarter has it all!
The Borgata – This hotel-resort-casino-spa is considered by many to be the most luxurious in town. Even the seats at the slots are plush! If you want to be pampered, if you want to feel like royalty, give the Borgata a try. And check out the Mixx, one of Atlantic City’s hottest nightclubs.
The Atlantic City Boardwalk – It IS the most coveted property in Monopoly! The boardwalk is more than just rides on Steel Pier and redemption arcades in Atlantic City. Here you’ll also find the Atlantic City Historical Museum and the Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum. If you’re looking for family fun… look no further! Spend an afternoon riding the rides at Steel Pier or turning tickets into prizes at the Atlantic City Boardwalk Arcade. Be sure to visit Steel’s Fudge, the oldest continuously owned and operated fudge company in the world! And for your taffy fix, hit James’ and Fralinger’s Salt Water Taffy — once rivals, these two taffy makers have now joined forces for sweet taffy goodness.
The Nonstop Action and Entertainment – Casinos are open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred sixty five days a year! If you need something to do in Atlantic City (and you’re old enough) you can always hit the casinos. There’s also no lack of entertainment in Atlantic City — like the town slogan says, they’reAlways Turned On. The casinos bring big name music and comedy acts to town regularly, and feature more intimate performances in the many bars and lounges. And if you want to do something “normal” like catch a movie, the Tropicana has an IMAX.
Boardwalk Hall – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall is home to minor league hockey and other sports, huge concerts, and dazzling shows. If you’re looking for entertainment outside of the casinos, this is a great place to start! Expos, car shows… Boardwalk Hall has it all!
The Beach – Atlantic City’s beaches are wide, clean, and free. Lifeguards are stationed at more than fifty points along the Atlantic City beach for your safety. If sunbathing isn’t your idea of fun, you can try your hand at fishing, surfing, kayaking, and even horseback riding on the beach! Several of the casinos have beach bars where you can catch some rays while sipping your favorite frosty beverage and enjoying live bands.
Gardner’s Basin – There’s a lot going on at Gardner’s Basin, at the northern end of Atlantic City. The area houses fairs and festivals and even live musical performances! The Basin also is home to a small aquarium — eight tanks, more than a hundred different types of fish and marine mammals. And take a quick tour through the sixteen stations of the Ocean Life Education Center. Sightseeing boat tours are also available at the Basin.
The Marine Mammal Stranding Center – The Center is actually just outside of town, in Brigantine, but it’s worth the trip. This non-profit center rescues marine animals found on the New Jersey coastline, like whales, seals, dolphins, and turtles. The rescued animals are rehabilitated and then returned to the ocean.
Lucy the Elephant – Again, outside of Atlantic City but well worth the trip. Margate’s landmark elephant shaped building is part museum, part architectural curiosity, and all fun! What’s not to love about sixty-five feet of wooden pachyderm?
Club Tru – Want to dance all night? You can at Club Tru! The music starts on Saturday night and doesn’t stop until eleven o’clock on Sunday morning!
