  1. The Beach
    You did come to the Jersey shore for the beaches, right? The beaches in Stone Harbor are wide, clean, and safe. Beach tags ARE required in Stone Harbor, but you can also use your Stone Harbor tags for access to Avalon beaches… and vice versa.
  2. The Wetlands Institute
    Learn more about the unique Jersey shore environment at the Wetlands Institute. Take a walk through Marion’s Gardens and see native plants specially chosen to attract birds and butterflies. Inside the Diller Coastal Exhibit Building, you can see live marsh animals. And learn more about the endangered diamondback turtles at Terrapin Station. Be sure to walk out to the Observation Tower and see the Jersey shore spread out below you!
  3. The Miniature Golf
    Tee Time Golf has one of only five American Tournament Standard courses in the United States. The course is sanctioned by the World Minigolf Federation and has been the host of the National Pro-Minigolf Tournament. That’s an amazing distinction! Play the rooftop course while sipping a famous frozen Coke.
  4. The shopping on 96th Street
    Along the cobblestoned street, you’ll find all sorts of great, unique little shops. Stop by trendZ and trendZ home for handcrafted jewelry, art, and luxuries for the home. If you’re a fan of ceramics, visit The Olive Tree for handmade ceramics, glass, and more for the home. You’ll find over a hundred shops in Stone Harbor.
  5. Sports Facilities
    Stone Harbor has 16 tennis courts, plus fields for baseball, football, and soccer, and much more! Stop by the 82nd Street sports facility for a schedule of activities throughout the town.

    From the Sail Into Summer Weekend to kick off the summer season through the holiday festivities starting after Thanksgiving, you’ll find lots of great things to do with your family in Stone Harbor!   8. The Stone Harbor Bird Sanctuary
    South Jersey is famous for having great birding, and the twenty-one acres of land at the Stone Harbor Bird Sanctuary give you a great opportunity to see herons and other birds in the wetlands.
  9. Watersports
    With the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Intercoastal Waterway to the west, you have lots of opportunities for boating, jet skiing, kayaking, and more. A boat launching ramp is available at 81st Street.
  10. Great Golfing
    If miniature golf is a little too small, visit the Stone Harbor Golf Course for a full eighteen hole, par 72 course. The Stone Harbor Golf Club was voted as one of the top ten private golf courses in New Jersey.
